Each team will need access to the internet via data or Wi-Fi on their phone. We recommend having a connection while teams participate so that everyone involved can view the Leaderboard and watch the stream of points roll in from all the teams. If a team happens to go offline during the activity — no problem! Submissions will queue up and will be submitted as soon as they’re back online.

It varies from activity to activity, but there are anywhere from 60 to 80 challenges for the Standard versions and 30 for the Express versions.

You will receive an email with your activity login information immediately following your purchase. This email includes a unique activity name and entry code for you to use and get started with your activity right away, or up to 30 days after purchase. You will also receive a link to an Instruction Guide to help you prepare in advance.

No, each activity has been designed to be easily run by you or another person you choose. No, you’ll need to ensure that each team has at least one iPhone or Android, which most people already own. Each team will need to download the free Team Experiences app to their device to participate.

All of our activities are available in the Standard or Express versions. The Standard versions will take your group anywhere from 2–3 hours. The Express versions can be completed in under an hour for groups who are pressed for time. The exact time a team takes to complete all the challenges depends on how much effort they put in, or how darn good they are, because some people are better than others! Typically, teams complete a challenge in about 2-3 minutes on average, but some take longer and some can be completed quicker. Factor this in when planning an exact time for your activity. What will you do if a team finishes early before others? Don’t forget to also allow time at the beginning and end of the activity for briefing teams and awarding prizes.

First, try turning your mobile device off and on again. You can also quit the app itself and try restarting it. After your purchase, you’ll receive access to a detailed guide on using the app. Don’t wait until to event day to review it!After reviewing it prior to event day, if you still have technical questions, you can email our customer support team.

Our pricing is simple and inexpensive, leaving some money in your budget for prizes or an après party.Choose whether you want an EXPRESS (up to 1 hour) or STANDARD (2-3 hour) team experience, then tell us how many people you plan on having participate. And don’t worry if you need to add a few people on event day, or for that matter, change your event day … we’ll make it happen for you!

Teams complete challenges by submitting photos, videos or text responses as directed in the app to earn points. The harder the challenge, the more points earned.

Look no further than the Leaderboard to determine the winner of your activity. If you want to go one step further, you can audit each team starting with the top point earners. As long as everyone plays by the rules and no one cheats, you can rely on the Leaderboard. If you notice any sneaky business, simply make note of it on paper and subtract points before announcing the winners.

You’ll be able to moderate the activity yourself using the live stream. Just make sure to touch base with everyone before the activity starts to encourage them to play fair. When everyone plays by the rules, there is minimal moderation required. If you happen to notice that someone has “cheated” — take it into consideration, and you can manually adjust the points on paper before you announce the big winner.

You can sign in to your activity page on the Team Experiences website to export your media. You’ll be able to download all your favorite photos and videos from your team building experience. Instructions on how to do this will be provided in the activity Instruction Guide.

Anyone can complete challenges but we have geared the Team Experiences activities and challenges to corporate groups. Some of the brain teasers and puzzles are pretty tricky — trust us — so not all of our challenges will be well-suited to children.

The App

Each team will need at least one Android or iPhone and the ability to download the free Team Experiences app from the Google Play or Apple App Store. The phone will need to meet the minimum operating system requirements for the app to work to its full potential, which is Apple iOS 8.0 or Android OS v5.0. We recommend having about 400 MB of memory available. Team Experiences is not available on Windows or Blackberry.

We recommend using an iPhone or Android phone to run the app. However, it is possible to use an iPad. When searching for the app in the App Store, you will find it under iPhone apps. Be sure to lock your iPad in portrait orientation before starting your activity. iPad is the only supported tablet at this time.

There are no minimums or maximums, however for a good experience we recommend that each team have between 2–6 participants (3-4 is ideal for keeping people highly engaged!)

Let’s keep it simple. Each team only needs to sign in on one phone. However, people on the same team can take part using different devices if they sign in to the app using the same email and password. We encourage you to keep it to one per team to make it easier.

Getting a new password is easy.Tap the envelope icon on the sign in screen. Then tap “Forgot Password.” Enter your email address, then tap “Reset Password.” We’ll send you an email with a new password.

To complete challenges within the app, it will need to access photos and videos taken during the activity.

Photos and videos can be submitted over and over at any time. However, teams will only earn points for completing each challenge once. If a team submits a photo or video in error, they may submit a new one as many times as they want to ensure the challenge is completed accurately. Text responses are limited to one try, so you better get it right the first time!

That depends on the activity and whether or not the submission will give the answer away to other teams. Not all the activities have the Live Stream, but you can see for yourself in the details for each unique Team Experiences activity under the “What You Get” section.

The only people who will be able to see your submissions are those who have signed into the app with the activity name and password. You will also be able to view the Leaderboard or Live Stream from a computer by signing into your Team Experiences activity page after you’ve signed in on the app.

Each activity and mobile device is different. The app takes 15 MB (iOS) or 40 MB (Android) to download. Once you've downloaded the app, joining an activity will only require around 1 MB in order to download all the challenges. It's only when you submit challenges that data charges apply. If your group has access to Wi-Fi, no data will be used.

You’ll see in the activity pages that we’ve outlined which activities will have video and photo responses in order to complete challenges. Videos always require more data. A single video on iOS can range from 4 MB to 8 MB, while on Android it ranges from 4 MB to 40 MB. Every challenge will vary.
